If you have not heard of Connie Stewart she is worth checking out. Her site is called SimplySimpleStamping.com. Connie has great projects and organizational techniques. She made tabs for her Annual Catalog, filmed a video to show you how, and even shared her template to print. She’s very giving that way. I was all over that idea and I LOVE having tabs on my catalog now. Here’s her post.
Anyway, last week she created the cutest thank you card and I believe she saw the inspiration on Pinterest. I needed a blingy thank you card for a friend and figured I might as well recreate Connie’s. Here’s her post. And here’s my card.
The stamp set used to create the flower was Work Of Art. This artistic set is so so versatile. The swooshes can be used to
- make a flower
- make a flag
- make a background
- make anything you like.
If you are on the stamping related internet sites at all since May I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of ways to use this set. The flower and leaves for my card were made using the smaller swoosh stamped in Mellon Mambo stamped off once. The Thank You is from Another Thank you photopolymer set, which made placing it on the card front so easy since I could see through the stamp.
I also used some mono glue and added glitter on the flower with some strategically placed – ok, not really – rhinestones.
Don’t forget the inside. And did you notice that the card portion is actually a smaller 5×3.75 folded size attached to a 5.5×4.25 Mellon Mambo card base. I like that it’s different from what you would expect.
Thanks for stopping by today. If you have any questions about any of my projects, leave a comment below or email me at StampingWithAverysOwlery@gmail.com.
