Last week I shared one of the designs I created for my annual Holiday Stamp-a-Stack, you can see that card here. Every year I like to include a card with non-traditional colors and this one is one of my favorites. Not only are the colors great but it’s a pretty quick card to make too. So grab your Polished Pink and Coastal Cabana and let’s get started.
The real star of this card is the embossing folder from Merries Moments. The embossing folder can be used alone or together – at the same time – with the unique die included in the hybrid bundle. It’s a new concept created by Stampin’ UP! that I’m sure we will see more and more of.
Are you a traditional Holiday color crafter? Try expanding your design muscles by selecting an alternative shade of green and red to make your card. This card uses the colors, Coastal Cabana, for the ‘green’ and Polished Pink for the ‘red’. Other combinations could be Pool Party and Poppy Parade, Bermuda Bay, and Blackberry Bliss.
Step by Step Non-Traditional Color Card
- Coastal Cabana card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
- Basic white 4 x 5-1/4 embossed with the Merriest Moments embossing folder
- Stamp sentiment with Polished Pink color on embossed cardstock as shown. Adhere to card base with tape runner
- Stamp the two poinsettia images on basic white using Polished Pink ink and die cut with Merriest Moments dies.
- Use Coastal Cabana to stamp the leaf images and die cut.
- Adhere the poinsettia together along the leaves with glue dots and adhere to card front with dimensional.
