Saying Goodbye to Flowering Cactus

Many of us are not particularly good at coming up with color combinations, or pattern combinations on our own. I’ve had more than one customer say “I never would have put those colors together but they look so good!” Trust me, it isn’t usually me, it’s Stampin’ UP!s Designer Series Paper that does it. Flowering Cactus Product Medley (stamp, die, paper and embellishments all in one ‘kit’ did just that.

Look at how the Calypso Coral, Highland Heather and Old Olive work so well together. The DSP in this medley has many patterns to choose from and with just the right layering, they can be used simultaneously, like here on my Fancy Fold card.

This is a side opening card, but on the opposite side you would think. That leaves lots of room to add even more messages on this inside portion.

So you can make your own fun fold start with
1. Cardstock 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
2. Cardstock 8-1/2 x 3-3/4 scored at 4-1/4
3. 2 pieces DSP 4 x 5-1/4, 1 piece 4 x 3-1/2

This fold is great for any collection of patterned paper. Lay them out together and decide what strikes your fancy.
