Forever Greenery Love Sneek Peak

Today is my final Forever Greenery Sneak Peek.  I hope you have enjoyed my series and are planning on purchasing this amazing suite on June 3 when it is available to everyone.

I am a big fan of greens but I’m particularly a big fan of the greens in this suite, all with a blue undertone unlike the other greens available like Old Olive and Mossy Meadow that have more of a yellow undertone.  I like that this suite really pulls those colors together.

Today I’ve used one of the Forever Greenery Embossing Folders as a base.  This folder is more narrow than our standard card front so it allows for some extra things to be going on in the background.  I used Versamark to stamp along the top and bottom of the Just Jade card base and added a piece of Shaded Spruce to ground it.  Only one of the ferns is from a die-cut.  The rest I actually snipped from the DSP.

I often only want to use a portion of a sentiment on my card.  For this one, I only wanted the Love & Laughter and I thought that would be useful for just about anything.  The rest of the sentiment, Forever After, is great if you’re making a wedding card but not what I wanted today.  The best way to just have a portion of a sentiment stamped is to use your Stamparatus as I did here, and color the stamp with Stampin’ Write Markers (not Stampin Blends).  These water-based markers available in every color are perfect for coloring stamps.  Use them to color different parts of a stamp in different colors….something you can’t do with an ink pad.

I like using the Stamparaus too because if I miss a portion or need more color on another I can stamp again and again perfectly.  It’s also great for making sure your sentiment is straight on your paper.  I stamp first on the Delux foam mat to check it is straight, wipe it off with a shammy then stamp on my paper.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and thanks for visiting.  I always appreciate your comments and answer all questions as soon as possible.  Until next time…

Happy Stamping
Lynn
