Happy Weekend. Today I’m working on two birds with one stone, so to speak. My friend is undergoing Chemo Therapy and has one more ‘hard one’ to go. I thought a cheerful card would be in order. I also thought the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week would be the perfect sketch to work from. Here’s my card
And here’s the sketch that inspired me.

About this card
1. This card just screamed gate fold to me, with the two panels and the focus in the center. I’d been wanting to use the Hello stamp from My friend for a while now and I had a chance to here.
2. I really like black, very vanilla and Cherry Cobbler together, any time of the year. I snipped my way around the Hello sentiement and the Cherry Cobbler layer just to make it interesting.
3. For the ribbon flower I used a 3/8 circle punch covered in double sided tape, then twisted my cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon and wound it around on the circle. Ta Da, Flower.
What I used. Paper, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Modern Medley. Ink, Black stazon, cherry cobbler. Stamps, My Friend, Oh Hello/ Accessories, Cherry Cobbler seam binding, Oval Framelits
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

I LOVE that you made a gatefold card with this sketch – and your colors are so rich together (can’t go wrong with a little black-and-white-and-red [even thought it’s technically vanilla]). All the best to your friend. I know this card will be well-accepted.
This is a GORGEOUS card, Lynn! Absolutely brilliant interpretation of that sketch, too!
Love how you put the rosette in the flourish of the Hello stamp! Very clever.
Lynn, this card is stunning! It really shows off the hello stamp! Thank you for joining us this week at Pals Paper Arts!
So very pretty. Love that dsp with the Cherry Cobbler. You friend has someone very special on her side; this will definitely lift her spirits.
