Midnight Muse Thank-You

My Mother sent me an early Birthday present this week.  My birthday is in October, : }.  I came home one day to a package on my front porch that for once didn’t say Stampin Up on it.  Hmmm, what could it be and more importantly, from whom?  As soon as I opened it, I knew my mom had sent a fold up chair for sitting on the floor from Plow and Hearth.  She had a couple in her Living Room last time we were there (my folks live outside Indianapolis, about 3 hours away) and with my granddaughters they really came in handy for those of us who appreciate a back to lean on while playing princess.  Anyway, I obviously had to send her a thank you card.  Her favorite color is blue so the choice of Midnight Muse was obvious

About the Card
1.  I chose four of the flower shop flowers and stamped on the card, then highlighted them a bit with my Daffodil Delight marker.

2.  I totally stole the idea for my border from my up line Brian King.  To see his post, click here.  I loved the look of the border on his card and copied it for this one.  With a piece of paper longer than my card I lined it up on my worksheet so I had 1/4 inch showing, then heavily sponged Midnight Muse.  I think the border adds a nice frame for the flowers without weighing it down.

3.  My Thank You stamp is from Hero Arts and is one of my favorites.  It’s like I actually wrote it in my own hand only better because my handwriting is horrible. Why do you think I stamp everything!!

4. It’s so easy to add an envelope liner with the new envelope liner framelits.  I find myself using older retired DSP for my envelops.  A great way to use them and add a touch of class to the envelope for my recipient.

What I used
Stamps: Flower Shop, Hero Arts Thank You, Paper: Whisper White, retired DSP, Ink: Midnight Muse, Daffodil Delight, Accessories: Envelope framelits

  1. I love it, Lynn! Thanks for the shout out on the border. I know your Mom will like it – and I know you will get good use out of the chair. 🙂

    • Yup she sure did like it, and I know this won’t be the last time you get a shout out from me. I’d have to stop reading your blog everyday and there’s no way I can do that!
