Cloudy Day – Pals Paper Arts #189

Well, we may not have sunshine here in Ohio but I’m trying to in my card today.  It snowed all weekend and today is supposed to be bitter cold.  This is very atypical weather for Central Ohio, which is a good thing.  Today’s card is my attempt to cheer myself up from all the cloudy snowy cold days we’ve had and introduce some sunshine.

About my card
1.  I hope you’ll allow me to take a few liberties with the PPA sketch challenge this week.  I used a piece of retired Designer Series Paper for the top cloud layer but incorporated it with a piece of Watercolor Wonder DSP that sports a beautiful Daffodil Delight corner fading into Marina Mist.

2. The new cool word bubble framelits, two of which are cloud shaped, were just the right accent for my theme.

3. I wasn’t sure what sentiment I would use.  I looked through all I had, tossing out most until I came across the sentiment from Pursuit of Happiness.  I’ve used this stamp from this set a lot.  It is so perfect for a variety of cards, regardless of what you put on the inside.

Hope you are having better weather than here.  Spring, Spring, where are you????
