Dreaming of a White Chrismas

I’m a sucker for trees and scenes on my cards.  Don’t believe me, click Here, Here, here and here.  So, when I saw the White Christmas stamp set I fell in love.  The little car with the tree on top.  Too cute.  I’m sure the sample projects pictured in the Holiday Catalog on page 31 had a lot to do with it too.

Stampin Up White Christmas Filigree Frame embossing folderThe picture doesn’t show clearly but the trees and even the car are actually stamped then heat embossed with silver embossing powder so the have shine.  I snipped the little car, the tree, the little snow man and the cardinals to place them on my scene.  There is a pit of diamond glitter added to the hill and  trees along with sponging in soft sky.

The finishing touch is the addition of the Filigree Frame Embossing Folder and some rhinestones for accents.  The entire panel is popped up on dimensionals.

I hope you like my holiday cards this week.  They were really fun to create and so many options for more with unique ways of combining the stamps.

Thanks for stopping by today. If you ever have any questions or comments about any of my projects leave a comment below or email me at StampingWithAverysOwlery@gmail.com.

  1. Shut the front door! I love this set too, but what you have done with it … well I am really grinning from ear to ear! Love the embossing folder around it. Reminds me of those gorgeous old fashioned Christmas cards from my youth! Oh I think they’re still around, and they have a name, but I can’t remember what they’re called. This is gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing it today!

  2. Way pretty! You are so creative, Lynn!

Oh, by the way, was Bobbi thinking of the Currier and Ives cards?

  5. Delightful! Love the use of the TIEF.
