Tags, Tags Everywhere

Ok, so I’m going paper crafting crazy this year with my gift giving. I’ve got boxes filled with boxes, I’ve got boxes filled with cards, I’ve got boxes filled with chocolates.  Today, I have boxes filled with tags. I took a clue from the book of Brian King and decided to give tags as some early gifts.

Stampin Up My Digital Studio Under the Tree Tag a Bag AverysOwlery.comI mentioned last week that my family is celebrating Thank-mas (trademark pending according to my daughter who coined the phrase, hehe) and since it is early in December I thought Tags would make great gifts as they could be used later in them month.  Plus, the box could be used year after year, no waste.

So how did I create my boxes.  I used half size wood mount stamp boxes from Stampin Up of course. I also used My Digital Studio (MDS) to create the front cover.  If you don’t have MDS you should seriously consider ordering it (from me hopefuly) and now the starter pack is only $20, and comes with over 1000 stamping, punching and embellishing items.  Do you realize how many stamp sets that represents.  A lot. Additional current stamp sets can be purchased individually often for only a few dollars.

I selected my background color – Cherry Cobbler –  added some text and threw in a Circle punch with Cottage Designs paper – TIP, this is not from a Holiday paper collection but it sure looks like it should be doesn’t it.  I created my digital tree with arrows sized and cropped and layered. Then added digital pearls (I know, they look like they are real pearls on there don’t they). I printed them on cardstock on my home printer and trimmed down to fit inside the plastic cover on the box.  Easy Peasy.Stampin Up My Digital Studio Under the Tree Tag a Bag AverysOwlery.com

Inside I have some of the tags I created using the Under the Tree Tag a Bag kit from the Holiday Catalog.  All they need are a name for the To and From and a bag to attach to.

I really like how this project turned out.  What do you think?  Leave me a comment below.  I’d love to hear your thoughts.
