I have a new, brand new, nephew as of Jan 29. I was actually in Orlando Florida for the Stampin Up Leadership conference when my brother alerted the family via text that the baby was coming. Many many text message updates throughout the day until that evening Baby Aiden Jack was born. Well, except that we didn’t know that was his name until 2 days later, which meant we were all free to suggest name after name. At one point my brother texted that the baby’s name was TBD and since their last name actually starts with a D, I started guessing all kinds of first and middle names that started with T and B. I don’t think they appreciated those suggestions. : )
Here is the card I mailed this week to welcome Aiden.
I totally stole this idea too, from Queenbcreations.net. You can see Lisa’s blog post by clicking Here. She includes the direction for this stair step card.
I used Marina Mist for my card base and combined the stamps from Something for Baby and the framelits from Baby’s First. Buy them together as a bundle and save 15%. I stamped each image and cropped them with the coordinating framelit to stock the ‘drawers’ of the baby dresser. I used the Decorative Label Punch on the bottom to look like the dresser legs. My 1/8″ handheld circle punch and some pearls for the dresser handles. I added my personal note on the back of the card to welcome Aiden to the family and immediately added his name to my perpetual birthday calendar.

I just love it. I will make this very soon my nephew and wife are having their first.
Aww Sharon. That’s wonderful. Great nieces and nephews are as good as grand kids. So glad I could inspire.
