Presents for Birthdays

I like it when a stamp set can be used for multiple occasions.  On first glance, one of the new stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog  might initially feel very Holiday-ish.  But while at Convention we were able to use this new stamp set to create a cute, cute birthday card.  The holiday catalogs will be going out the middle of Aug and available for ordering Sept 1.   If you do not have a demonstrator and would like a catalog from me, please contact me at my email address at the bottom of this post : )

We used the envelop punch board and the 2015-2017 In Color Envelop Paper in Watermelon Wonder to make the coordinating envelope.

Do you see the set, right in the bottom middle, called Your Presents

Stampin UP AverysOwlery.comThis set is full of ‘Kissing’ technique options.  Any time you have a sold stamp you can ink up another designed stamp and touch them, kiss them, together to imprint the design on the solid stamp.

To create the plaid present, we kissed the stripped stamp onto the solid stamp once, then inked the stripped stamp again and kissed it again turning it 90 degrees.  This is the card I made while at convention and my first attempt.  I’m going to practice more as I think this is just really really cool.
