Today is my husband Steve’s birthday. My card today is for his birthday and while it may not be traditional in color it is perfectly approptiate for him. You see, he is from Pittsburgh, and if it isn’t Black and Gold, it isn’t worth looking at. Steelers, Pirates and Penguines, all have Black and Gold as their team colors so I made him a Black and Gold card. He also enjoys going to our cabin in northern Pennsylvania for deer hunting. Yes, I know this is not an image of a deer but a picture of an elk, I think it fits.
I used the Wilderness Awaits stamp image along with Lovely as a Tree. To color the Elk, I used my aqua painter with Delightful Dijon and Daffodil Delight with some Early Espresso. I used my white gel pen to add highlights. The birthday sentiment is from Perfect Pairs. Final touch with the Deco Label framelits and some neutral candy dots.
