Thoughtful Branches #2

For my second card with Thoughtful Branches I opted to use it like a hydrangea.  Hydrangea’s are beautiful perennial flowers and are very popular in my part of the world.  For a while they were probably considered a bit old fashioned and something you only saw in your grandma’s yard but that is no longer the case.  They can be seen everywhere and are very popular in home decor.  My daughter used them in her wedding bouquet in 2011.

PICK YOUR COLORS

Here in the Midwest we have  hydrangeas of either pink or blue where the color depends on the acidity of the soil where they are planted.  I like the look of light blue with black so for a sympathy card those colors worked great.

PICK YOUR TECHNIQUES

I stamped the large leaf using Marina Mist on Whisper White then again with Marina Mist on Marina Mist card stock.  I cropped both with the thinlit.  I used paper snips to cut out individual marina mist flowers to go on top.  I also used some Wink of Stella Clear for a bit of shine.
