Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January Blog Hop – our first hop of 2017! Love is certainly in the Air. It is time for making of Valentine Cards and treat bags for school or work. Telling those around you that you love them. Kissing the dog. You get the idea.
This post is the first for the InKing Royalty Blog Hop in 2017. InKing Royalty is the Stampin Up demonstrator Group I belong to. A very supportive group of women and men all across the us. Today’s hop is filled with inspiring projects that feature each artist’s take “Love is in the Air”. This is the best time of year to start planning your Valentine’s Day projects. There are amazing, new products in Stampin’ Up!’s Occasions Catalog – and NOW is the best time to get them. We are excited to share our projects with you and hope they inspire you! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
My card today is very simple, and was so much fun to do. I have one tiny sentiment included on the banner to express my love. My family says “Love you bunches of a lots” to each other so I particularly liked this sentiment.
I used the Delicate Details free stamp set in the Sale-A-Bration brochure to create the background. See the picture in the brochure for my inspiration. I lined up, very carefully, three of the stamps from the set on one clear block and the other two on another. Using my grid paper to make sure everything was straight I stamped the three on the top , turned the stamp around and stamped again on the bottom using white craft ink. I did the same in the middle with the other two stamps. I then heat embossed it all with white embossing powder.
After that it was a matter of adding color to the background. Using my Clarity brushes, but a sponge or dauber would also work, I started with Peekaboo Peach in the center, Calypso Coral next then Watermelon Wonder last.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Pam Morris at Tap Tap Stamp. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it
