Getting Back to Normal

Hi Everyone. I’ve had an eventful last couple of weeks. Some good and some not so good. My dad passed away April 3. He was diagnosed with Leukemia last November and after 3 months of treatment he and the doctors determined it just wasn’t working. He was put on hospice in February and was able to be at home where he was most comfortable. I was able to spend several weeks with he and my mother as they adjusted to this new ‘temporary’ normal and I’m so grateful for that time with him.

I also traveled to Germany/Austria for an already planned trip the last week of March.  My daughter had been there since Jan for work and was finishing up her time there so her husband and I went to meet up with her and spent a week traveling to Vienna, Salzburg, Munich and places around there.  We had a great week seeing the beautiful architecture, cities, culture and country side.  My dad asked the day we were all coming home if we were home safe.  You see, he had promised my daughter that he would not boondoggle our vacation.  He kept his promise and passed peacefully the next day.

Enough about me.  What’s going on with Stampin Up.

Today is that busy Stampin Up Time of year when the Retired Lists is published and demonstrators will have a chance to see the new annual catalog for 2017-2018.  We get to see all the new colors, stamp sets, dies, tools and of course paper.  If you have a favorite stamp set that you haven’t yet purchased, if it goes on the retired list, it will be sold out soon so don’t delay.  Also any 2015-2017 retiring IN-Color items (Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon, Cucumber Crush, Tip Top Taupe or my favorite Watermelon Wonder) like ink pads, refills markers and paper will be gone very fast.  Don’t delay and consider placing your order for these items today while they are still available.

My Technique Class April 30 @ 2:00 pm

All are welcome.  Cost is $15 and we will make three cards/projects incorporating a cool technique or two.  I have room and supplies for 12.  Please RSVP if you can to let me know if you will be attending.  All you need to bring is your adhesive of choice (I always have refills of Tombow double-sided tape for sale if you run out) and scissors.

My All Occasion Stamp-A-Stack May 20th (Saturday) 10am-4pm

This will be a Card Buffet where you have the option to make as many or as few cards as you like.  Pricing will be:

  • 1-6 cards $2.5 each
  • 7-12 cards $2.0 each
  • 13 or more $1.50 each

There will be lots of choices of occasions so pick what you need, birthday, sympathy, thank-you or just because.  You can make the multiples of the same card or mix them up.   All you need to bring is your adhesive of choice (I always have refills of Tombow double-sided tape for sale if you run out), scissors and a snack to share for lunch.

My Stamp Club starts again in June

My monthly stamp club is taking a two month break but will be starting up again in June when the new Stampin UP Catalog goes on sale.  Monthly clubs are great if you want to build up your own Stampin Up supplies but don’t want to host your own workshop, see below. Monthly club members make a commitment to order $25 in Stampin UP product each month.  All the club members orders are combined and each month one member is the ‘hostess’ earning all the free Stampin Rewards earned with the order.  Depending on the number of members the rewards can really add up.  All club meetings are held at my house, I prepare three projects (cards, tags, 3D items) for us to make and you to take home.  The focus is on new fabulous products by Stampin Up.  If you would be interested in joining my next club drop me a line.  Commitment is for 6 months.

Would you like to earn free stuff?

Consider gathering some friends and HOST A Stampin Up Workshop. The workshop can be at you house or mine, with your friends and family.  You would be surprised who might really enjoy a chance to try out a new craft, and the projects we make in the workshop are theirs to keep.  But best of all, you earn free products with the Stampin Rewards. We can even include far away relatives or friends onto your order, even if they are not able to attend.  Contact me today if you would be interested.

Join Stampin Up

The final way I have for you to enjoy the world of paper crafting is to join and become a demonstrator. Most folks join because they receive a 20% discount on all their purchases and have no real intention of doing classes or workshops.  These folks are called Hobby demos and make up about 80% of all the demonstrators out there.  The cost to join is $99 but it isn’t just money you pay to SU, for that $99 you get $125 in SU products of your choice.  There is no required additional purchase, and no penalty to drop. You can even apply Stampin Rewards earned by hosting a workshop towards the $99 membership. That is a real win-win.  Contact me today if you would be interested.

My Stampin Up Store is always open

If you would like to place an order online, click on “SHOP/SHOP STAMPIN UP above If you are placing an order for less than $150 please consider using this months Hostess Code 96F2BQB9.  I use the combined sales to purchase give-aways for those attending my classes and clubs. However, if you are purchasing more than $150 please do not use the hostess code. I want you to get all the great benefits of placing and order including Stampin Rewards for free items of your choice.

Thanks for stopping by today.

  1. Welcome back to blog land! I am sorry to hear about your dad. What a blessing that he was able to wait for your safe return from Europe.

  2. I’ve thought a lot about you in the past couple of months. I so wish I lived near you so I could pop in for one of your classes or just to hug your neck. <3
