I have two posts for you this week, both highlighting the fact that not all flowers need color. This past weekend I hosted a Stamp a Stack for my customers. They were invited to come, spend the day stamping, chatting and eating. One of the cards they had the option to make was a neutral based sympathy card.
One Color Stamping
I like a one color stamped card because they are 1) easy and 2 ) really pretty looking. One of my customers made a comment that was really the reason for my post. She said she never would have thought to stamp all of this card in sahara sand. She said had she been making a card like this at home should have thought, “Oh, it’s a flower so it has to have a flower color, and the leaves have to be in green…”.
But how nice to have just a neutral flower on a neutral based card. I didn’t even use a piece of white on the inside. With the light colored card base, I stamped Sahara Sand inside as well.
Now of course I could have added ribbon, or pearls, or more paper, but the cards we were making this weekend were meant to be releatively easy to put together since they were going to be making multiples of each.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Lynn
Beautiful, Lynn. Neutrals are so appropriate and sweet for a sympathy card. I love that you kept the card rather monochromatic.
I adore this card! Sometimes we forget that simple is good. This is a wonderful reminder.
