Ghiradelli Chocolate explosion box

Thanks to Julie DiMatteo, a fellow demonstrator and friend from Atlanta, Ga, –  The Paper Pixie (thepaperpixie.com) –  I am never at a loss for cute 3D projects.  Julie always does an instructional video for each of her projects too which makes it so easy to follow along and recreate.  Today’s project is a take two on one she did earlier this winter.  She modified the first one, which held 2 Green and Blacks chocolates, to this one that holds one Ghiradelli with filling or two unfilled.  We don’t have Green and Blacks chocolates around where I live but Ghiradelli are easy to find.

THE DETAILS

I used DSP from Sweet Soiree Specialty paper.  Each sheet of 12×12 paper makes 4 of these little boxes and they are quick to make so multiples are easy.  Great for showers, party favors, etc.

The sentiment is from label me pretty punched out with 1-1/4 circle punch.  I used 1-3/8 circle punch from the DSP for the next layer and finally 1-1/2 circle punch in whisper white, sponged with blushing bride for the final layer.  The magnet closures are 1/4″ by 1/32″ and are from Total Element. They are based in the US and offer FREE shipping.
