Merry Christmas to All

For today’s card I used a lot of mixed products.  The star of the show is certainly the Merry Christmas Thinlit Dies.  How beautiful they cut with the big shot.  I opted for traditional Real Read and Garden Green for my Christmas colors.

The mistletoe is from In The Woods Framelits, part of the Winter Woods bundle or sold separately.

Finally, the background.  I used the Tin Tile with standard whisper white cardstock.  The Tin Tile embossing folder is a Dynamic Embossing folder meaning it creates deeper impressions than a standard embossing folder.  To get this deeply embossed look it is best to spritz the cardstock with water before running through the big shot.  For my card today I did not do that but I liked the more subtle look for this card.

I had also embossed the new Swirls and Curls embossing folder thinking it would make a nice background, but I liked the Tin Tile better.  I’ve saved the Swirls and Curls for another day.

Those red pearls are a nice touch.  I colored our standard pearls with the Real Red Stampin Blend alcohol marker.  With those markers you can have pearls of any color you want.  I love that.
