Winter Woods

It is only September but cold weather will be upon us soon enough.  The card I made today is a vision of scenes to come I’m sure.

THE LOOK

Winter Woods is a new stamp set with coordinating dies in the new Holiday Catalog.  Not only is this set just beautiful on it’s own, it is even better when paired with two existing sets in the annual catalog, Rooted in Nature and Lovely as a Tree.

I love the detail in the row of tree stamps.  Very fine branches.  I heat embossed with white on whisper white cardstock then used a sponge brayer with Night of Navy over the top.  The die set includes a pretty slop for hills. I cut it out twice and flipped it one around.  I used sparkling embossing paste over the cardstock for snow.

Did you notice the vellum trees behind the sentiment?  Those are also from this die set.
