Green Spring – for InKing Royalty March Blog Hop

Let’s face it, no matter where you live seems like this has been a long long winter.  BUT – Spring is here – Officially – TODAY!!!!

When I think of spring, I think of the seeing the grass go green overnight.  I think of smelling the air become fresh an clean.  But my favorite is the sound of Spring and to me that is the sound of the tree frogs in our back woods.  I haven’t heard them yet, an indication that we have had a long winter, but every day I am hopeful.  I hope you like my card today celebrating Spring and Green.

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s March Blog Hop!

This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around GREEN. We are excited to share our creations with you today – there’s a wonderful variety of styles and occasions celebrated in this hop!

After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

For my card today I started a bit uniquely for me in that I lined up the two images of the ducks (or geese, I’m not really sure) and cut some whisper white thick to fit them.  I colored them all using my stampin blends then figured out how to add it to a card base.  I usually start the other way around and go from the bottom up.    I used the bokeh dots from Beauty Abounds as a background.  I didn’t want anything too busy and there wasn’t a DSP that was striking my fancy.  So bokeh it was with tone on tone Granny Apple Green.
