A Little Lace Duet

This weeks showcase is all about A Little Lace.  The stamp set is very versatile and the die, while only two pieces is so much fun.

Card #1

Sometimes the best way to get into working with a stamp set is to recreate or CASE (Copy and share everything) one of the samples from the catalog.  That is what I did here. You can see the original on page 42 of the annual catalog.   I did change it up a bit but using the full stitched lace die along with the border die on all four sides.

Card #2

My second card with this set has a focus on the stamp set instead of the die.  I always seemed to see a bandanna, you know, the red and black ones we would tie around our heads when we were kids.  I recreated that look  by stamping the image with Memento all over the Poppy Parade card front then outlining the images with a white watercolor pencil.

I used watercolor pencils to color the main image and blended the color with a blender pen.

To create the stitched outline on I used the rectangle stitched die on three sides, then again on the fourth to make it fit exactly.

Thank you for visiting today.  My next post on Wednesday I’ll be participating in the InKing Royalty Blog Hop with the theme Sunshine.  You won’t want to miss out on all the great projects you’ll find in the Hop.  I’ll have another Little Lace card for you on Friday.  Until next time…

Happy Stamping
