Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around SUNSHINE. The Sun is the single most important source of energy for life on Earth – it guides our clocks, calendars and planting schedules. We may be enduring a heat wave this week, but we still associate the Sun with positivity, joy and renewal. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Sunshine
There are certain colors I think of when I hear the word Sunshine. Bright Yellows and pretty Reds and Oranges. The background piece of Designer Series Paper from See a Silhouette just screams Sunshine to me. I was however a bit overpowering all on it’s own. That’s where vellum is such a great add. I layered a piece of over the DSP and began designing my card.
Floral Essence Bundle
I started by stamping the large flower and leaves directly onto the vellum with Memento Ink. I stamped Mango Medley with Poppy Parade ink and Daffodil Delight with Mango Medley ink to create my flowers. Granny Apple Green made bright leaves.
I put two holes through the top of the vellum and card base to hold the vellum in place and also add some more bright cheery crushed curry ribbon. I did add some additional glue dots strategically placed under the flowers.
