A little lace for a friend

Back from a brief hiatus for the InKing Royalty Sunshine Blog Hop – wasn’t it fabulous.  (Click here to see it if you missed it the first time. Sunshine for InKing Royalty Blog Hop ) I’m back with my final project using A Little Lace.  I like to use the products in a bundle in as many ways as possible.  That keeps the versatility scale up near the top and makes every purchase I make more economical.

The Die

Take the die included with this bundle.  It is only two pieces, one to cut the stitched doily look and the other to cut a border.

Don’t think you can only do one thing with this die. In my post on Monday and today I used the die to make a background.  Pretty typical.  But, can you see what else I did with this die….

On the black cardstock I used it like an embossing folder.  There are embossing plates available on the market that will cause a die, any die, to press the image into the paper instead of cutting it giving you double duty.  Woo Hoo.

Now, check out the flowers.

The image from A Little Lace could be a Daisy.  Or maybe not, I’m not sure.  But I liked the look of two daisy’s next to each other and our Medium Daisy Punch was just the right size.  I stamped each once with Lovely Lipstick and once in Memento Black and layered them together with a clear faceted gem in the center over the top of the stamped image.

Sentiment

I double cut the word Friend from the Word Wishes dies and layered them together too for my sentiment.

Thank you for visiting today.  I hope you come back next Monday for a brand new group of projects.  Until then…

Happy Stamping
Lynn
