Merry and Bright with Toile Tidings

I love today’s card kicking off the fall season where we have so many things to celebrate and of course make cards for.  Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and all the rest.  My series this week is using the Toile Christmas  Suite with Toile Christmas and Tidings All Around stamp sets and coordinating dies, paper ribbons and more.

When hen I start out with a new suite I pull all the items from that suite o to my workspace.  All the colors of ink and card stock too.  I might look at the catalog for inspiration or case one of the projects exactly.  Whatever works to get the creativity going.

This time it was so easy with the Designer Series Paper, stamps and dies, my card just fell into place.  I used only the colors Very Vanilla, Garden Green and Real Red to make it very traditional.

One Tip

I wanted to stamp the cardinal in Real Red on Very Vanilla but the Cardinals face should be black.  I first tried coloring it with my black Stampin Blend after I stamp d with the red but I didn’t like it.  The second time I used my Black Stampin Write marker on the bird face, then inked the whole thing with the red.  You could also use your stampartus to get the two colors.

Thank you you for joining me today.  Wednesday I’m participating in the Pals Blog Hop.  Such a talented group of artists there you won’t want to miss.  Until Then…

Happy Stamping

    • Thank you Brian. It literally came together in mins. This suite is so easy to create with. Thanks for the comment too. I learned yesterday that my feed had not been working since February. I just thought no one liked my projects. All fixed now.

  2. Beautiful card, Lynn. Easy and beautiful is a great combination. Glad your feed is working now. I always enjoy your posts. Have a lovely day!

  3. Such a pretty card, Lynn. What did you use to stamp the “May your days be Merry” message?

    • Hi Donna, I used versamark and white embossing powder with the stamp from the Toile Tidings. I cropped it with the coordinating die from Cardinal Dies. It makes such a pretty sentiment, doesn’t it?
