Welcome to September. September means fall colors, fall weather, fall smells…but most of all it means only 4 months till Christmas and less than that to make all the holiday cards and mail them. So let me help with that.
Stampin Up introduced Product Medley’s last spring. Now we have a brand new one in the holiday catalog available for purchase on September 4. Most Wonderful Time. A product medley is kinda like a kit, but with your own imagination instead. All the things you might need are included for one single price, you just add your own creativity, or CASE someone else’s projects and see what you come up with.
This medley contains
- 11 piece stamp set
- 6 piece die set
- 48 sheets of 6×6 Designer Series Paper
- 12 Gold foil card fronts, 7 sticker sheets
- Gold and white tinsel trim
- adhesive-backed gold faceted stars
Add some of your own card stock in white, old olive or real red and you ready to create some pretty cool things.
My Card
My card today really focuses on the stamp and die set, with some paper too. The gold foil background paper was added to my old olive card base along with a piece of the DSP. I cut the largest stitched circle die from stitched shapes using vellum to complete the background.
I stamped the tree with Old Olive on whisper white then used an aqua painter to pull color from the stamp into the rest of the tree.
The presents under the tree are actually one stamp and one die that makes all three of the presents at once. I learned it is easier to stamp the ribbon image first, then the box image. I found it easier to line up that way.
There are two tree topper dies included in the set, one a star and one an angel. Families have had life long arguments on whether it should be one or the other….I always use a star so that’s what I cut from Gold Foil paper. I still thought it needed a bit more and that was when I remembered the gold and white tinsel trim. it is very very curly so I cut a piece, let it do its thing, and glued it with a glue dot behind the star.
I’ll have more using this medley of products throughout the week but here are some samples from the catalog.
And don’t forget, September 4th is the day you can place your own order from the Holiday catalog. So many beautiful items. If you don’t have a catalog or a demonstrator, I would love to be your demonstrator and send you a catalog in the mail. Leave a message in the comments and I’ll be in touch. Otherwise, I’ll have a PDF version for you to browse on Wednesday. Until then…
