Every year I end up making at least one non-traditional-color Holiday Card and I’m sharing this year’s version. I was looking for a card to make using the Peaceful Boughs stamp and die set, just kind of looking through my stuff and happened to pull out a piece of Purple Posy cardstock. How beautiful it looks with Early Espresso. My stamp club loved making these cards so much I decided to make 50 of them as my swap card this weekend when I travel to Atlanta Ga to be with all my stamping friends and enjoy two days of stamping and fellowship.
I used layers of Purple Posy, Early Espresso, scalloped linen ribbon, and Whisper White. The Peaceful Boughs pinecones have two layers each with Purple Posy as the background. I created the pearls by coloring standard white pearls with my dark Purple Posy Stampin Blend.
My grandaughters Avery and Hadley had a fun time helping me make these cards. Hadley (7) helped stamp with the stamparatus, Avery (10) used the die cutting machine for the centerpiece and they both helped count out all the pinecones and pick out all the little hanging chads.
I made these cards during a time when Purple Posy ink was available. Unfortunately, that ink color has been taken discontinued for a quality issue but this card could easily be made with silver ink for the sentiment or possibly Highland Heather.
Thank you for joining me today. Until next time…
Happy Stamping
Lynn
