Today I’m finally able to share a card I made using the Special Someone stamp set, one of the new products found in the new Jan-June Mini Catalog available to customers Jan 3. It has been a busy couple of weeks here at the Owlery and I’ve been traveling to Indiana to help out with my mother. That meant I wasn’t able to really play with my new items for several weeks.
My sister-in-law had emergency surgery this week (she is doing great) so I wanted to make a get well card for her. I always go through my new items making an inventory of all the phrases. I remembered the It’s Filled with Heal-ium! and envisioned a card for her.
This was my third attempt on this card, the other two are in the trash. With this one, I’m finally happy. The raccoon is adorable holding those balloons highlighted with a bit of stamping blend coloring.
Not only did I use the Special Someone stamp set but I also used a new die from Stitched So Sweetly to create the border. I laid it on the card front and used my Early Espresso marker along the scalloped edge.
Thank you for visiting today. I always appreciate your comments and answer all questions as soon as possible. Until then…
Happy Stamping
Lynn

Such a sweet card! I thought this sentiment was fun, too! I love how you’ve framed the card with the squiggle lines. Glad your SIL is doing well. ♥
