Today’s card uses the Best Dressed Suite of Products. How true is that sentiment – Life is Short, Buy the Shoes. This is the perfect card for anyone you know who loves shoes. I know several who would fit that bill, for sure.
I also love the Stitched So Sweetly die set and felt it made a great backdrop for the sentiment, and the Best Dressed 6×6 Designer Series Paper.
I made a companion item with the All Dressed Up Dies using the Purse Die. But I made it into a cute little backpack instead. I saw this at the Stampin’ UP! On Stage event in November.
But About those Shoes
If you have seen the Dressed for Success stamp set you might have noticed there is a shoe stamp, specifically a right shoe stamp. But Lynn, how did you get that left shoe on your card you might ask? Good thing I’m here to tell ya.
Supplies you will need
- Stamp
- Stamparatus ( you can do this without a Stamparatus but I think it makes it easier)
- Silicon Craft Mat
- Ink
- Cardstock
- Die
- Cut out the shoe shape from a piece of cardstock.
- Place silicone craft mat on Stamparatus and then place the cardstock on the craft mat.
- Place the shoe stamp in the cutout area of the cardstock and pick it up with the Stamparatus plate.
- Ink the stamp and stamp onto the silicone mat. Don’t remove the cardstock
- Place the cutout shoe piece into the die-cut area on the Stamparatus and press down.
- Ink the stamp and stamp again. This will give you an inked image on both sides of the paper but the real reason is it gives firm pressure on the die-cut to pick up the ink from the silicone mat.
Thank you for visiting today. I always appreciate your comments and answer all questions as soon as possible. Until next time…
Happy Stamping
Lynn
