Good Morning Magnolia Thinking of You

This is the second in my three post series of cards using Good Morning Magnolia.  What a beautiful set of products.  Today I used them to make a Thinking of You card.  You can turn any THinking of you card easily into a Birthday card just by writing Happy Birthday on the inside. : ).

I selected two of the patterns of paper from the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper and added layers upon layers to show them off.  The dimensions are below.

I used Whisper White and Petal Pink to create the flower using the Magnolia Dies.  I cut two of the larger size in white and just one in pink.  I added some color to all of them with a sponge dauber and some petal pink ink.

My first attempt for the sentiment was to stamp in Petal Pink and emboss it with Clear embossing powder.  As you can see, that didn’t really turn out so well.  The sentiment just wasn’t showing up enough to be seen.  So I switched it to White embossing powder and I’m much happier with the results.

Dimensions

  • whisper white thick card base 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
  • mossy meadow 4-1/8 x 5-3/8
  • dsp 4 x 5-1/4
  • mossy meadow 4-1/2 x 3-1/4
  • dsp 3 x 4-1/4
