Blog Candy Winner
Before I get to my projects today I want to announce the winner of my Blog Candy from last week. The winner, selected randomly is Susan. Here is her comment.
It seems I’m crafting more, and I find the crafting relieves the stress of not being able to resume normal activities. I’m also cooking and baking more, my favorite activities.
Susan has 24 hours to send me her contact information so I can send her the It Takes Art bundle. Thanks to Susan and all of you who commented on what you are enjoying about being in the Pandemic Stay At Home order we are living. I loved reading and responding to each of you.
Heartland Stamp Set
I was recently asked to create a card kit using the Heartland Stamp set. This stamp set hit the retired list the day I delivered my kit to my friend. I honestly had not used the stamp set before making this kit and was sorry I hadn’t. Since it is retiring I thought I would share the projects I made for her. Let me know what you think
My friend has lots and lots of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews so this stamp with the little boy was a great one for her to use. I stamped the image on a stitched nested die with Night of Navy ink and then used a blender pen to pull the ink to color the overalls.
Blue and brown make a great color combination and so does all the patterns of paper from the Neutrals 6×6 Designer Series Paper pack. This paper is also retiring.
My sentiment is combined from two different stamp sets, Beautiful You – also retiring – and Under my Umbrella. I used my Stamparatus to line up the stitched circle with the It’s Your Day from Under My Umbrella. I stamped in Versamark.
I flipped my stamparatus plate over and lined up the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp from Beautiful You. I only inked up the Happy Birthday portion with versamark, You can o this by putting washi tape over the portion you don’t want to ink, OR, you can wipe off the ink from the unwanted portion. OR, you can use a Versamark Pen – I purchased mine from Amazon – to color on the portions you want to ink. I powdered with white embossing powder and heated it with a heat gun.
Here is a quick look at the inside and some other cards I made with this set.
Thank you for visiting today. I always appreciate your comments and answer all questions as soon as possible. Until next time…
Happy Stamping
Lynn
