Do you like crafting with birds? I do and that is why the new Garden Birdhouse stamp set caught my eye. It reminds me of my grandmother’s Martin birdhouse on a long pool in her backyard. Just think of all the colors you could use!
Stamp the Garden birdhouses and other images using Smoky Slate for a soft outline. Use your watercolor pencils to color the images. I used daffodil delight, calypso coral, melon mambo, pacific point, granny apple green, balmy blue, and garden green. Use a Blender Pen to smooth the colors.
Try casing the Garden Birdhouse catalog sample found on page 107, like I did, with shimmer white cardstock, white embossing powder, and water painters. The colors won’t stick to the white embossing so it really stands out with all the colors. Mine didn’t turn out as nice as the sample in the catalog and I’ll likely try it again but no one is perfect the first time. Don’t be afraid to ‘create for the trash’.
