Trees. What is it about trees that attract paper crafters? In every Stampin’ UP! catalog there have been more than one tree stamp or die or punch, or all three. This new catalog is no different and I’m sharing a project I made using the Inspiring Canopy Die set.
The unique thing about this stamp/die set is that the stamp set is comprised of only sentiments, while the die set is comprised of only tree images.
To really coordinate with the tree images, chose paper from the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series paper. Use for the sky background and for the canopy of leaves on the trees.
A Wish for Everything had the perfect Father’s Day sentiment to include on your card. Heroes come in all fashions including everyday Father’s. Celebrate the Dad’s in your life with a pretty card so they know how much you appreciate them everyday.
Tips and Measurments
- This is a standard card base 5-1/4 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 using Evening Evergreen.
- Soft Succulent cardstock 5-1/4 x 4 adhered with tape or glue
- The Beauty of the Earth DSP 5-1/8 x 3-7/8 adhered with tape or glue
- Cut Cloud die from Colors and contours die set cut from 1×5 piece of Basic White cardstock. Adhere with tape or liquid glue.
- Inspired Canopy tree base cut from Early Espresso and adhered with liquid glue. Trim the bottom of trees if needed to correct the height.
- Cut slope die from Evening Evergreen 1×5-1/2. Adhere with tape or glue over the bottom of the trees.
- Stamp sentiment in Evening Evergreen on Soft Succulent 2-1/2 x 3/4. Adhere with dimensionals
- Cut canopy dies (2 of each) using Beauty of the Earth DSP. Adhere the top of the trees with glue. Adhere lower layer with mini dimensionals.
