Today’s card is just a fun halloween card. Halloween is coming up soon. Sooner that Thursday October 31st in my neighborhood. We do Trick or Treat on the Sunday before Halloween, from 4-6 PM. Its actually kinda cool because it is still light out and the masses of parents must feel better taking their little ones out in the daylight. We live on a court with 4 houses in a circle. All the neighbors pull chairs out to the center of the big circle and chat while we hand out bags and bags of candy. It kind of a last hoorah for the neighbors before we all burrow in our homes for the winter, never talking to each other much until spring.
About the card
1. Bite Me photopolymer set plays center stage today with the white heat embossed spiderweb and all the little spiders. The dangling spider was stamped with black Stazon and snipped out. The Trick or Treat came from Tags for you, stamped with Black Stazon on Pumpkin pie.
2. For the Moon, I punched a 1 1/4 circle and sponged a bit of Calypso coral on it as well as Cajun Craze on one side. I also used a white blender pen and white craft ink to make the hopefully spooky looking background.
3. Don’t forget the inside. I stamped more spiders around the edge on the inside to give some interest, and topped it off with a Happy Halloween from Delightful Dozen.

My monthly class ladies really liked making this card last week. Hope you enjoy it.

What I used
Stamps: Delightful Dozen, Bite Me photopolymer, Ink: white craft ink, versamark, Black Stazon and Pumpkin pie marker, Paper: Black, Whisper white, Pumpkin Pie, Accessories: Label bracket punch, white embossing powder, blender pen.
Creepy Lynn! Love this embossed spider web and your blender technique with the white ink! I wouldn’t be able to open your card, too many bugs inside! ewww! Have fun this afternoon I like that idea and wish every town would adopt a day time Trick or Treat schedule on the Weekend prior to Oct. 31st.
So glad you liked it, of got creeped out, Pattie! Trick or treat was great this year. The weather was perfect. One of my neighbors was giving out Capris Sun. He had 120….and ran out before all the tricker treaters were done.
Lynn, This card is wonderful fun! I especially like the background on the card. The random streaks of white are a great texture. You now have a blender pen marked “for white ink only” I’m sure, but it’s worth it. I have to agree that the inside is a creepfest. 🙂
