Sweet Sorbet for Mojo Monday.
Today’s card is a birthday card for my friend Joy. She happens to be married to Ed, I posted his birthday card on Sunday Jan 19. They both have birthday’s this week but two very different styles of cards for them.
Here is the sketch that inspired my card today.
About my card
1. I started with two pieces of the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-bration (SAB) brochure. This and the other items are free with a purchase of $50 from any of Stampin’ Up! catalogues, brochures, or on-line items. SAB runs from Jan 28 – March 31 so be planning out your orders to make the most out of this awesome sale. Hmm, let’s see, $50 get 1 free item, $100 get two free items, $150 get three free items PLUS hostess benefits of $25 on any item. Wow.
2. This paper collection has some really beautiful patterns in it with lots of great color combinations. One piece is primarily flowers. I used that to create the flower in the center of my card but snipping it out from several color variations. I used items from the Sweet Sorbet accessorie pack from SAB to add accents. The pool party yarn around the center as well as the cork stickers on the inside.
3. Last touch was the use of the Decorative dots embossing folder from SAB on the piece of Summer Starfruit across the center. Just a little bit of texture.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy seeing all the SAB items in use. This years SAB is better than ever.
