Day 6 Wedding Week at the Owlery – Princess

This is one of the first wedding invitations I designed. Doesn’t it just look like the cover to a fairy tale? For those brides who are Princesses this is for them.  My vision for this design was to be unique, unlike any invitations I had ever seen before, styled like a book, with actual pages to open but not fall out or get lost. I’ve done this design in several beautiful color combinations like Early Espresso and Bashful Blue, Basic Black and Pink Pirouette, but for today’s final new design showcase for Wedding Week I opted for Whisper White and Pearls.  What looks more like a Princess wedding than that.  Well enough talk, here is my last wedding design for you.

So many options with the outside of this invitation are possible.  I played the combination of the Lattice Bigz die off of the corner crop from Martha Stewart.  The overlapping circles were accidentally perfect together.

The invitation wording would be on the left panel.  The center is stamped with a new floral stamp set from So Very Grateful.  All the images on all the pages are stamped using the Illuminate stamp pad to provide just a touch of tone on tone sheen.  The two pages on the right can be used for additional information such as registry, maps, directions, reception, hotel accomodations, etc.  The invitation could also be done without any additional pages and instead tuck any extra information sheets into the pocket on the right.

Here though, I have placed the response card and envelope in the pocket that is also stamped with the floral image.

  1. So pretty! Love the corner details.

  2. Hi Lynn, I’ve been following Wedding Week and each day I’ve said, Oh I like that one, Oh that one, etc. Well, today I must post! Today’s book is my absolute favorite. It is so different. I love the “illuminating stamp pad”. I have never come across this yet. Truly feels like a princess. Imagine getting this beautiful package in the mail. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  3. I have thoroughly enjoyed your week of wedding invitations. They are truly beautiful and you are a very creative individual!!!

  4. I have never thought of doing wedding invitations, but what you have shown me all week is so inspiring. I have a friend who will be having her wedding this summer. I may just offer to do her invitations. Thank you again for sharing your creations this week.
