A study in black and grey

I have to admit, I was in a hurry to create something for this post.  I didn’t hVe a lot of time to be creative and ponder the look of one thing or another.  I had time to find a piece of cardstock for a base and a piece of Designer series paper to go with it.

I pulled out my stash of watercolor wonder DSP and quickly found this grey polka dot paper.  How pretty that would be with black.  What’s easier than a thank you with some Hello Doily stamp peaking in from the corner.  Done.

From start to finish this card took about 15 mins, including looking for paper and heat embossing the black images.  It was quick but I think I nailed it.  Do you?

I hope you liked the card today and even if you might think I didn’t nail it, there is alway the next post!

What I used
Watercolor wonder DSP, white and smokey slate paper. Versa mark ink, black embossing powder. Hello Doily and a non Stampin Up thank you stamp.

Your card is beautiful. Simple but very elegant. And I really like the Thank You stamp.

  2. I think you nailed it!! 🙂

  3. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.

I think that you can do with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is magnificent blog.
An excellent read. I will definitely be back.
