I mentioned earlier this week that Copying is allowed in the stamping world. Today’s cards are a CASE (copy and share everything) of one of Kerry Willard Bray’s cards she posted on a facebook site I visit. You can see more of Kerry’s wonderful creations at her Peonies and Paper Chains blog Here.
Kerry used the new Work Of Art stamp set demonstrators were given at a new catalog reveal party last week. I’ve used that stamp set already, to see my post click here. My first card is a direct copy of Kerry’s.
Kerry had used the background stamps in this set beautifully, pulling in great colors for a bright and cheery card. I loved it.
I wanted to change it up thought, so I could give it to a male co-worker for his birthday this week. He actually might have been fine with a Coastal Cabana and cheery Crushed Curry card but I wasn’t sure the sentiment would be appropriate. So I made this card….
Subtle differences but the card takes on a slightly more gender neutral tone. Black card base instead of Coastal Cabana, black candy dots instead of curry, and the sentiment from Itty Bitty banners, cropped with the coordinating framelits in black with white embossing powder.
What do you think? I can see one with pastels, with regal colors, Christmas. This stamp set is going to get a work out on my stamp table this year.
Thanks for stopping by today. If you have any questions about any of my projects I’m only an email, or a comment below, away.
