See it, Pin it, Do it

Before I get to my card(s) remember, tomorrow, June 2, the new 2014-2015 catalog goes live.  There are really beautiful products there, not all of them new.  Some of our old favorites are displayed in fresh new ways.  If you would like to order Stampin’ Up! products, please click here or click on the Shop Stampin’ Up! on the menu bar above to shop anytime at your convenience.

My first post for a See it, Pin it, Do it.  I saw a collection of cards on-line and pinned it a month or so ago.  Then, promptly forgot about them.  That is, until I wanted to make a set of cards to give to my mother for her birthday.  You can see the birthday card I made for her here.  My mother loves blue and these cards seemed to be just the right thing for her. The original post from HandcraftingwithHeather.com can be found here.  She does beautiful work.  I’m sure I’ll be casing more of her creations. IMG_1224-001

I didn’t make the cards exactly the way Heather did.  I wanted to make one each of  Sympathy, Birthday, Thank You and Hello.   But even just one of these cards is a beauty on it’s own.IMG_1228-001 IMG_1227-001 IMG_1226-001

Since this was a gift, I made a box to put them in.  I used retiring Marina Mist coordination paper for the bottom, and white for the top, stamping it with flowers from the petite petals and flower shop stamp set.  Tied it up with a pretty marina mist ribbon.

The stamp set used primarily in this collection is the Serene Silhouettes.  So glad to see it is not retiring this year. Morning Meadow – a hostess set – is retiring and is used on one of the cards.  I’m sorry to see it go as I seemed to reach for it often this past year.

Other stamp sets used were Teeny Tiny Wishes – a definite on your stamping shelf – That’s the Ticket, Papillon Potpourri, Perfect Pennants and Loving Thoughts (retiring).

Thanks for stopping by today. If you have any questions at all about my projects please feel free to leave a comment below or you can contact me directly at StampingwithAverysOwlery@gmail.com
