I mentioned earlier this week that my niece – Sydney – is turning 6. Her actual birthday is tomorrow and here is the card I made for her to go with her gift. To see my post with her 3-D letter ‘S’ click here.
I made Syd’s ‘S’ out of various shades of purple with hints of yellow. For her card I stayed with the same colors. Here is the outside.
Now, here is the fun part, the inside.
I can report that Syd loved her card – I gave it to her early when she came over from Indiana to see Avery’s ballet recital. The stand up technique was posted on splitcoast stampers. See the full tutorial and video on this link.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out her name, the glasses. ‘Who’s’ and number 6. So so easy to do. I used SU cupcake builder punch for the cupcake.
Other items used were the Big wish stamp set. I really like the balloon and the cupcake stand and cupcakes (colored with markers matching the color scheme) in this set. The sentiment is from Bring on the Cake, an item on the retired list.
This technique is really quite easy and has endless possibilities. You should give it a try. If you have any questions about my project post a comment below or I can always be reached at StampingwithAverysOwlery@gmail.com

Between the beautiful frame and the really cute card, Sydney is one blessed little girl to have an aunt like you! Have fun!
