For readers in the USA, you know that in two days we will celebrate our Independence on the Fourth of July. My granddaughter, Avery for whom this site is named for and who is 4 yrs old, 4th of July means Boom Boon Stars. Not to be confused with Boom Booms which are thunderstorms. Boom Boom Stars are Fireworks. She and I were in the car together last week and she informed me that Boom Boom Star day was coming soon. What better reason do I need than that to make a card to send to her.
I used the stamp from Petal Parade, a stamp set available during Sale-a-Bration this year. The stamp is half moon shape, so I just used it twice to made a firework. I did use new products today too. The Alpha Rotary Stamp was used to make the Boom Boom and the Happy 4th. I cut the Boom out with the word window and then threaded it in again from the outside to get the same rounded cut on the other side.
And of course, no Boom Boom Star card is complete without stars. The new Itty Bitty Accessory Punch Pack has the cute little star that I used to cut out of some glitter paper. And because it is for Avery, who is a total girl and love’s her bling, I added clear glue with dazzling diamond glitter sprinkled on.
Hope you have a great 4th of July this year, be safe and don’t eat to many hot dogs : )
