Happy New Home

One of my coworkers moved into his new home this past week.  It was a long time in coming, living in an apartment while it was being built out on 3 acres in the country. This card was for Sean and his new home.

Stampin Up White Christmas Holiday HomeTips and Techniques:  What better way to celebrate a new home that to use the Stampin Up Holiday Home stamp set and the coordinating framelits.  I stamped the house on Whisper White and then used my blendability markers to color it in. I used my sponge daubers with SU daffodil delight then added just a touch of pumpkin pie.

Background:  The trees are from the new White Christmas stamp set.  The set of two trees on the left were stamped again on the right side of the paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink then colored in with Crumb Cake blendability markers.

Stampin Up White Christmas Holiday HomeLeaves. The leaves from Holiday Home were stamped first with pumpkin pie, stamping off several times, then with daffodil delight. I thought I was done but it just looked as though it needed more so I added some old olive leaves.  The green was just the right touch without overpowering.

I made another version of this card as a Halloween card by changing out the sentiment, both were from the Holiday Home stamp set as was the little pumpkin next to the house and the jack-o-lantern face on the Halloween version. Stampin Up White Christmas Holiday Home
