A Flip Card for Riley

My nephew, Riley, turns 4 this week.  He is one of the special little ones in my life right now.  Because he is ‘all boy’ and I think 4 year old’s especially like interactive cards, I chose to pull out my circle card framelit and a flip card for him.  Here is a picture of Riley.  He will be a big brother come February and he and his parents are huge football fans.  Isn’t he a cutie.

Here ‘s my card for him Flip card for Riley

Colors – Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight

Tips and tricks
Colored balloon – bet you are wondering how I made that balloon yellow on blue paper. Easy. I used the balloon stamp image from Big Wish (all the stamps on this card are from this set) and stamped with versamark then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I then colored the balloon with the Medium Daffodil Delight blendability because as you know, it will color just about anything.

The Daffodil Delight scallop on the front was cut using another framelit from the circles card set.  So was the YAY and the banner. I used the 2″ circle punch to layer it with the little cake big wish sentiment.

On the inside I used my 2 1/2″ circle punch and cropped around the outside of the scalloped hole 13-IMG_1786left from the front.  This made a nice frame to put over the top of the cake and candles image, also cut out using the 2 1/2″.

Careful line up so the chevrons from the front circle line up with the chevrons on the inside panel.  Had they been off I think we all would have been experiencing hallucinations throwing us back to the 70’s or something.
