My friend and co-worker had to say goodbye to her 16 year old German Shepard, Jesse, this week. Those of you who have lost pets of your own know how hard this can be. Jesse lived a very long and happy life and was well loved. She will be missed. I made this card for the family she left behind.
I think, like most other folks, that sympathy cards should be subtle and calming. I used the sketch from The Paper Players this week to base my card using the squares in the sketch as the focal point for the stamped grass image. I used my 1 1/4 in square punch to make the squares and laid them out with stamping dimensionals for some depth.
The sentiment of So Sorry on the outside, and ‘for the loss of your beloved pet’ on the inside came from the So Sorry stamp set. The stamp set is retired but it can still be purchased and used on My Digital Studio (MDS). I really loved that set and felt it was the perfect phrase for my sentiment today.
Card base is soft sky cards stock. The stamped image from World of Dreams is stamped in crumb cake and lost lagoon on natural white card stock. The inside is stamped with early espresso. The DSP is from All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack.
