Last week I took my staff on a team building outing. There were two individuals who helped with all the planning and organizing of the event, kept secrets and had fun. I wanted to make a card for each of them to show my appreciation and I used each of the stamps from Million & One to do so. Here is the first one. Check back on Sunday for the second.
I gave this card to our Administrative Assistant as a thank you. She actually pinned it on her jacket and wore it all morning, she loved it so much. It even coordinated with her outfit that day : ).
I recently saw a post by Ann Schach where she showecased a card she had used distressed embossing. I loved it. You can see her post here. It was so pretty and subtle. Her’s was a holiday card but I figured that a thank you card could be just as beautiful.
The card base is baked brown sugar, with a single piece of very vanilla popped up on dimensionals. I stamped it with Everything Eleanor and Million & One stamp set using versamark then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. The distressing was done with sponges of Pink Pirouette, Crushed Curry, Soft Sky, Crumb Cake and a tiny bit of Always Artichoke. I sponged used the same colors on a piece of very vanilla then punched out three flowers from the Itty Bitty Accents Pack. I sponged Crumb Cake on the edges and added some pearls. The pearls on the stamp images for the final touch.
