Celebrate Balloon Bash Sneak Peak

I’m back into the birthday card mode.  My daughter’s birthday was this week as well as one of my staff and my Stampin UP upline Brian King.  I’ve also two birthday cards to make for folks next week.  I always wondered what kind of mother would have a baby so close to Christmas, at least until I had a baby 9 days before Christmas.  I think almost all December Birthday people I know tend to celebrate the entire month long.

Today’s card is indeed another birthday card and it celebrates a lot of cool new stuff available in the new Spring Occasions catalog from Stampin UP available for purchase beginning Jan 6.  As a demonstrator I am able to order early so be on the look out for more new items.

There are SO SO many new things to share with you in this one card.  So here they are, not in any particular order.

  1. Chalkboard paper – this paper is smooth and satin feeling on one side and regular black card stock on the other.  The smooth side is designed for using with….
  2. Color Box Chalk ink pads– there are three colors available from Stampin Up.  For the Just for You stamp I used Rose Coral.  Also available is Aquamarine and Yellow Citrus.  Love the look of this ink on the paper, just like it was drawn on a chalk board.
  3. Birthday Bash Designer Washi Sheets – YES, I said SHEETS.  This is washi tape to a whole new level.  4 designs with a paper backing just begging to be cut out using…….
  4. Balloon Framelits Dies – and yes it does coordinate with a new stamp set, Celebrate Today.  Wonderful balloon images with banners and phrases.  I used the balloon framelit to cut out the washi sheet balloon.
  5. The Enjoy cut out, also from Washi sheets is new too, from another framelit set I’ll be sharing on Sunday so don’t forget to check back.
  6. I also used my Chalk Marker for the border.  It isn’t new but you can bet it will get a lot more use now that chalkboard paper is available.  It works so much better on it than on regular card stock.

What do you think?  Some pretty cool stuff coming soon.  You won’t want to miss out.  Best of all, Jan 6 – Mar 31 is Sale-a-bration (SAB) and for every $50 your spend on products, you get to select one of an assortment of free items. There’s paper, stamp sets, embellishments and even Blendability sets.  A great way to start of finish off your Blendability collection
