Sneak Peak – Sheltering Tree

Are you ready for some sneak peaks of new stamps and tools.  Yah, me too.  Stampin Up’s Spring Occasions Catalog kicks off on Jan 6th along with the biggest sale of the year, Sale-a-Bration or SAB for short.  During SAB (Jan – Mar) for every $50 in product you spend you can select from the SAB Catalog a free, yes FREE item.  Stamp Sets, Paper, Blendabilities, lots and lots to choose from this year.  As a Demo I was able to order early so I can share some cool new stuff.

Yesterday was my daughter’s birthday so I made this card for her.  Since her birthday is so close to Christmas I always try to not use Christmas in her cards or gifts.  No holiday wrapping paper for her.

I decided to use a new stamp set called Sheltering Tree.  14 photopolymer stamps included in this set. The tree of course and leaves  plus lots of great extras. I stamped the tree in Bermuda Bay on Pool Party paper.  I used silver embossing powder for the leaves then went over the entire front and the hill with with white craft ink and White Embossing Powder.  I stamped the You warm my heart with Black Stazon since it was being stamped on the embossed area.  The Happy Birthday stamp is also new and is from another new stamp set called Butterfly Basics.  I’ll be showing more of that in future posts.

  1. Lynn, this is sooo pretty. I love the non-traditional color that you used on the tree trunk. The snowflake charm adds a perfect finishing touch. I will be casing this! :-).

  2. I love this tree. Beautiful card.
