Birthday Bash for a 90th Birthday

Hi All, my card today is for a very special person.  Uncle Mike.  Uncle Mike, my husband’s uncle, is 90 years old now.  He lives in Florida in a retirement community and is an amazing person.  To look at him you would never guess he is 90 as he looks pretty much the same as he did in 1985. He has a golf cart dedicated for his work as a handy man for several residents.  He fixes in-ground lawn sprinklers by squating on his haunches, then hopping up to go squat down at the next one.  How many 90 year olds do you know that can do that….heck how many 60 year olds. Exactly.  This past fall he drove, by himself, from Florida to Michigan.  Last year he drove from Florida to Seattle by himself.  On the way home he decided to drive 36 hours straight to get home.  Very independent and self-reliant, that’s Uncle Mike.  This is my card for him.  

The specialty paper from Birthday Bash came in handy, first just by the color combinations and secondly by the balloon inspiration.  I stamped the ballon image from Celebrate Today with Calypso Coral stamped off once, then used full strength for the polka dots.  I cut it out and the flags using the Balloon Framelits. 

Don’t forget the inside:  I used sentiments from the Big Day Stamp Set (free with a $50 order) and colored the cake image with my blendabilities.
