If you are a frequent reader of my posts you know that I have a full time job outside of Stampin Up in an office as a manager in Information Technology. I have a staff of folks reporting to me that I are wonderful people and who I would do most anything for, including finding them other positions if it would advance their career. Well that is what happened this past week. One of my staff had been looking to move into a different area of the company to advance his career. When I heard that a position was opening in that area I spoke to him and to the hiring manager and after the interview process was complete, he got the position and will be leaving my team. : ( I know it is what is best for him so I made this card to prove it.
I used the color challenge from the Pals Paper arts as my inspiration. The feature focus of this card is certainly the 3-D words Happy and You. I pulled out a handy new tool called a Xron. I was introduced to this tool by one of my customers, Kristan. I had never seen it before but ordered one on line the min she left the house. This thing is amazing for applying glue to small or intricate pieces. This device is very clever. I cut out four Happy in black and one in Gold foil. I ran each through the Xron label maker and after pressing and peeling off the backing it was easy to adhere these all together one on top of the other for a 3-D look.
The little Yay! banner is from a free Sale-a-bration Stamp set You Brighten My Day stamped with Versa mark on Basic Black and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder.
