I mentioned yesterday that I like to send the little children in my life cards for the holidays. To see that post, click Here. I also like to send cards to my folks who live about 3 hours away from me in Indiana. Here is their Easter card this year.
A little more elegant version of an Easter Card. I used Watercolor paper and my Aqua Painter Pen to color the image from Indescribable Gift after I had used my Early Espresso Embossing Powder. Embossing first helps the colors stay in place while you paint. When I watercolor I always start with the lightest color first, in this case it was Pink Pirouette. I then added Strawberry Slush and lastly Rose Red. The leaves were done with Wild Wasabi and Old Olive. I used Sahara Sand for the shadowing and the water spots with Gorgeous Grunge. I distressed the edges with my distressing tool and sponged them with Sahara Sand.
Don’t forget the inside. I used the same stamp only in Rose Red and stamped all around the edge of the paper to create a border with Happy Easter from the Indescribably Gift as well. The really great thing about this stamp set is that flower image can be used for all kinds of cards, not strictly just for Easter.
Because I also added Pearls on the card front, I made my envelope using Wild Wasabi Card Stock and the Envelop Punch Board. Card Stock provides a thicker more protective envelope for the card.

I love the subtlety of the watercolor and the shadow. Thanks for the Easter greeting.
