Today’s project gave me a chance to work with some of the new Stampin Up In-Colors and a new stamp set available to demonstrators like me in May and to customers on June 2nd. This set is called I Think You’re Great and is designed to use with the ‘kissing technique. I used this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch as my inspiration, see the sketch below.
The Kissing technique is so fun. Ink up a sold image stamp, one with smooth rubber for the majority of the stamp. The I Think You’re Great sentiment is a smooth rubber image with just the words cut out. Once your stamp is inked, tap it onto another stamp with a fun design. I used the floral leaf patterned stamp included in the set. The results are a a light background with the sentiment just popping out of it. Cool, and very easy.
Since the new Designer series papers with these in-colors isn’t available until June I had to create my own patterned paper for my card. I carried the background stamp onto my banners and flags with two of the new 2015-2017 In colors, Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron. I used the new Triple Banner Punch to create the flag ends. This new punch is designed to cut the flag shape from three different sizes of paper. A real time saver especially for those of us who are a little OCD about flag ends being even.
I used two of the punches from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack to create the flowers on the flags. The flower shape is pretty obvious but I wanted some leaves for the flowers so I used the heart punch and then cut the heart in half for two leaves per flower. I used my sponge dauber on the leaves and the flowers with the coordinating ink color and added Pearls in the center.
Another sneak peak with that ribbon. All the new in colors have this type of dotted lace ribbon available and it is a must have. The ribbon looks great flat as in my card today, or perfect for a bow or handle for a bag. Very soft and easy to work with.

Lovely! What a beautiful card, Lynn! The Melon and Mint pair well together.
